 WHO SUPPORTS THE CDA?

 

            The business people of the Takoma/Langley District. Every business entity in the CDA district must obtain an annual license from the CDA. Religious organizations are not required to obtain a license but are invited to make a voluntary contribution to the CDA.

            Businesses and owners pay an annual license fee on the basis of area. The fee is scaled according to whether the business is a property owner, professional, or retailer. No business pays more than $3,500 annually.

            The CDA is also supported by the City of Takoma Park, the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development’s Division of Community Assistance and Maryland Main Street Center. In addition, the CDA maintains a close working relationship with Prince George’s and Montgomery counties.

 

  WHO BELONGS TO THE CDA?

           

            CDA’s members are the 150-plus retailers, property owners, sole proprietors, large national chain stores and professionals in the Crossroads business district. They represent the ethnic and gender spectrum that adds to the richness and diversity of the Takoma/Langley Park communities.
